2009 Ironman Collegiate Championship

LJWorld.com: Preview of the event.

This spectator-friendly triathlon draws 100s of college-aged participants for a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and 13.1 mile run — all at Clinton Lake State Park. The race starts with the swim near the northeast entrance of the park. The biking segment snakes through many of the roads on the south and east sides of the lake (printer-friendly map). The two-lap run course is on the winding, shaded roads and trails of Campground No. 3 (printer-friendly map).

The event is free and open to public spectators.
