Mr. Gnome is coed power duo featuring Nicole Barille on guitar and vocals and Sam Meister on drums. A bit Yeah Yeah Yeahs and a bit Blonde Redhead, the Cleveland band occasionally eases up on the throttle and meanders into less abrasive pastures only to jump out of the bushes and clock listeners on the head with overdrive pedals and tribal drum fills. The group's dark tone assimilates elements of post-punk, shoegaze, alt-rock and progressive metal; swatches collected on Mr. Gnome's new LP "Deliver This Creature."
