The Black Sheep Art Collective at the Percolator

Lawrence Percolator

Our podcast interview with members of the Black Sheep Collective.

The Black Sheep Art Collective mentors and provides space for young artists in Arizona. They have produced many mural projects and exhibitions of work from emerging indigenous artists who may not have otherwise had the opportunity to develop their artistic voice.

In October, BSAC will arrive in Lawrence. While here, they will work with several Haskell Indian Nations students to complete a series of panels that will form a mural to be installed at the 4 Winds Center at 15th and Haskell.

Saturday, Oct. 10th, 7p.m.: Get to know the Black Sheep Art Collective
Sunday, Oct. 11th, 2-5p.m.: DIY spraypaint workshop
Friday, Oct. 16th, 6-9p.m.: BSAC mural unveiling
Oct. 16 - 28: BSAC mural displayed at the Percolator

The completed mural will then be installed at the 4 Winds Center (formerly Pelathe) at 15th & Haskell. More on an opening for that soon.

While in Lawrence, BSAC will also have the opportunity to meet with local artists, visit studios, and learn about local food production and culture. The mural production will be designed and completed at The Percolator with many events open to the public (see above schedule.) We encourage everyone to come meet these extraordinary artists and learn a bit about their process and current projects. The Percolator is proud to sponsor BSAC along with Haskell Indian Nations and local patrons of the arts.
