Take Back the Night, an annual international event that raises awareness about sexual assault and abuse, will include children’s activities, live music, speakers, a march down Mass. and a candlelight vigil at Buford Watson.
The speakers begin at 6 p.m. and will include the parents of Jana Mackey, Curt and Christie Brumgardt. Jana Mackey was a law student from Hays who was killed by an ex-boyfriend in July 2008. The march will begin at 7:30 p.m. and the candlelight vigil will begin at 8 p.m.
