The Airborne Toxic Event

The Airborne Toxic Event has enjoyed a quick ascension through the ranks of buzz bands to major-label darlings. Named after a passage from the novel "White Noise," the L.A. group plays visceral rock and roll rounded out with viola and orchestral keys. With U2's delay pedals and dramatic crescendos, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's swagger, and Ian Curtis's deadpan delivery, it's no surprise that the group is an alt-rock tour de force.
