If you see Taylor Swift strolling down Mass St. this weekend, she has an excuse beyond just visiting her best friend, Abigail Anderson, who’s a sophomore at Kansas University. The singer’s Fearless tour conveniently deposited her in Wichita yesterday and Kansas City today. Hard to believe that a few scant years ago Swift was just another anonymous high schooler. Now the 20-year-old has accumulated a staggering array of honors, including the most recent Billboard’s Artist of the Year and Grammy’s Album of the Year — the youngest performer in history to land the award. In fact, “Fearless” has spent more time occupying the number one slot than any album this decade. Thereby proving that as long as Swift is not singing Fleetwood Mac covers, she’s an artist and songwriter to be reckoned with.
