What’s soundpainting? Apparently, it is the live composition of performance art using gestures invented by composer Walter Thompson. Soundpainting will feature prominently in a new benefit concert for the Americana Music Academy, 1419 Mass. Boston performing artist Dennis Shafer leads the Chagall Performance Art Collaborative to display the sonic sensation of soundpainting while Big Stack Daddy tears up the stage. And the Lawrence Clarinet Choir plays while the Bob Ross Soundpainting Group delivers the picture.
