The latest to play Granada’s annual Mudstomp Mondays, Sky Smeed’s latest stop in his home state finds him perfecting his art in preparation for his fourth album. Smeed, whose sound has received comparisons to early Neil Young and Gram Parsons, was born and raised in Chanute. From his upbringing in an old, one-room schoolhouse his parents converted into a home, Smeed was inspired by acts such as Willie Nelson and Hank Williams. Smeed self-released three full-length albums with a fourth on the way in Fall 2011. The show begins at 9 p.m. Tickets are $2 and it is a 21+ show. The Granada is at 1020 Mass.
