All hail The Queen of Rockabilly. Wanda Jackson performs at the Granada tonight and at 73, she's still got the howling vocals that made her famous and the kind of stage presence that most contemporary stars yearn to possess. Jackson recently cut a record with Jack White for his label Third Man. Her show will split the difference between her classics such as "Fukiyama Mama" and "Hard Headed Woman" with cuts from her new record "The Party Ain't Over."
Opener Holly Golightly is a fitting choice as she has been performing, smokey, lounge-friendly music akin to Dusty Springfield for nearly 20 years. The show is all ages and tickets are $25 at the door.
