Tacky Christmas Party #5

"This is the fifth TCP that we have hosted. The first year, we took canned goods, then second and third years, we didn't do as much philanthropy as we wish we could. Last year, we rose enough money at our party to feed 1,250 people that were hungry in Lawrence. That started the fire that has led us to where we are with TCP5. We hope that this will be a huge event for the city, similar to the Westport Tacky Christmas Sweater event that has grown to be huge. We would like this to become an annual event, and could serve as a replacement event, albeit a little different, to the Holiday Hoedown that used to take place at Liberty Hall a few years ago. If this year goes well, we are talking about turning it into a pub crawl, beginning at the Granada, and moving on down Mass Street. This year, obviously, attendees are expected to wear their most hideous, awful, tackiest sweaters, come enjoy the holiday season with a little different feel. Cheap drinks, cheap admission, a darn good time, and good local music is what this is all about. All, and I do mean all, proceeds benefit Just Food."
