Enjoy a morning of biking and fun at the Young Life Bike-a-Thon on Thursday, July 4 in South Lawrence! Douglas County Young Life invites the entire family to their Bike-a-Thon fundraiser to celebrate Independence Day and support a wonderful organization that is making an impact on young people here in the
Lawrence area. Registration will begin in the southeast corner of the
Regal Southwind Stadium 12 theaters at 8:00 a.m. Black Route riders
(around Clinton Lake) depart at 8:30 a.m., Blue Route riders (to Clinton
Lake) depart at 8:45 a.m., and Green Route rider (to Southwest) begin
at 9:00 a.m.
Those wishing to find sponsors may use the Bike-a-Thon Registration form
provided at http://douglascounty.younglife.org. Those preferring not to
find sponsors may still join in on the fun by making a donation to Young
Life at the registration table on July 4. Recommendation donation is $40
per individual or $120 per family. But more or less is acceptable.
Proceeds from the event will go to benefit Young Life Douglas County and
the students being reached in the community. For more information and to
register, contact Molly Juhl at (785) 764-9228 or visit
Young Life is a worldwide organization for middle school, high school
and college students. Our staff and volunteers enter the world of kids,
focusing on what matters to them — fun, adventure and friendship. In
doing so, we earn the privilege of talking to them about something that
we think matters most of all — the truth about God and His love for
them. Founded in 1941, Young Life is active in more than 80 countries
reaching more than 1.2 million kids annually.
