High Tide Moon Side

Lawrence Percolator

High Tide Moon Side

Opens Final Friday, September 27th 5-9 pm at The Percolator 913 Rhode Island

A collaborative show with works by Alicia Kelly and Kelly Kearns. Alicia and Kelly have been working together to create new pieces, getting inspiration from each others unique style from passing work back and forth. The collaboration was a way for each artist to work spontaneously and find new ideas within each new layer. They will be showing their individual works, their collaborations, and installations at The Percolator.

Kelly Kearns is an artist, a rock collector, and an aspiring herbalist. She received her BFA in printmaking from KU in 2009, and still lives in Lawrence. She explores nature in her artwork with color, shape and detail, always thinking of the macro vs. micro tricks the great outdoors can play on you.

Alicia Kelly was born and raised among the red dirt and wildflowers of northeastern Oklahoma. Her love of paper developed alongside her love of Indian textiles and screen-printing which lead her to the meditative practice of cutting paper. Her current studio practice is centered in Lawrence, KS where she is working in a shared collective/ event space called Seed Co.
