This true-to-the-original production of Pinocchio stages the well-known tale of the wooden boy journey to become real, learning hard lessons about life and love along the way. Imperiled by dangers brought about by Pinocchio's want of responsibility and self-discipline, the journey is, in fact, a metaphor of the passage from childhood to maturity.
Spencer Lott is a freelance artist and actor who specializes in designing, fabricating, and performing puppets for film, television, and live stage productions. Most recently he directed an original short puppet film, Melvin the Birder, for Heather Henson's Handmade Puppet Dreams.
Jeff Stolz and Wallace Cochran are Drakkar Sauna, one of the best local bands in Lawrence, Kansas! Our very own favorite A Kansas Nutcracker conductor Jeff Dearinger joins them on bass.
Don't miss this very special Lawrence Arts Center production featuring community actors together with theater arts and School of Dance students!
