"Love Letters" by A.R. Gurney

Lawrence Percolator

A post-valentine reading of A.R. Gurney's Pulitzer-nominated play, "Love Letters".

The story centers on two characters, Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III, as they read notes, letters and cards they have written to each other. Covering nearly 50 years, they discuss the hopes, dreams, ambitions, disappointments, victories and defeats that have passed between them throughout their separated lives. Andrew becomes a U.S. senator and Melissa fails as an artist - and their stories continue, both together and apart.
