Listen to our podcast preview of the show. From KJHK: Kansas in Heat, KJHK's sex and romance show, is moving on location to the Jackpot Music Hall (943 Massachusetts). Kansas in Heat will broadcast live from the Jackpot every Friday beginning Sept. 19th, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Kansas in Heat is hosted by Mike Anderson and Nichole Kathol, two Ph.D students at KU. Patrons at the Jackpot can now have their questions answered live and in person. "The real purpose of this show is to be there for the listener," Mike Anderson says. "The Jackpot will give us the environment to really showcase the show and its validity". Because the contact is more interactive at the Jackpot, people have the opportunity to provide Anderson and Kathol with more background information about the questions they ask. "I think we might see the show get a little more sexual," Anderson says.Anderson and Kathol consider themselves to always be up to date on the current research related to sex and relationships and are interested in helping listeners. "I strongly believe that people listening to each show will come away with several ideas on how to increase the pleasure of their sex life and/or increase the health of their current or potential romantic relationship whether they be gay, straight, or bisexual," Anderson says. KJHK broadcasts live 24 hours a day by tuning in to 90.7 FM or streaming at www.kjhk.org.
