A Kansas Sculptors Association exhibit of small works in stone and bronze, will open Friday, October 21, from 6 to 8 pm at the Lumberyard Arts Center, 718 High Street, Baldwin City, KS. The sculptors exhibiting include Elden Tefft, the sculptor of the bronze Baker Wildcat and the "Prairie Spirit" on display on the Baker University campus in Baldwin City; Sheila von Geyso, with her bronze bust of John F. Kennedy; Mark Sampsel, the sculptor of the Guardian of the Grove statue in Council Grove; Beth Vannatta, who in recent years became so incensed at the casualties of war that she made a series of antiwar sculptures; and Janice Harral, a Baldwin City native, with her first stone sculpture.
