This is an exquisite exhibit by a regional group of fiber artists, based in Springfield, MO, and working in the contemporary art quilt medium. An art quilt is a piece of highly collectible artwork. It isn’t designed to be used on a bed like a traditional quilt, but is meant to be hung on a wall like a painting. Artists use fiber as their medium and may dye, paint, cut, tear or fuse the fabric or other fibers as part of their work. The pieces may be embellished with beads, buttons, photos, or found objects.

Opening Reception 5:30 to 7:30 pm Sept. 16, in conjunction with the final Art Walk of the year in downtown Baldwin City, KS, 718 High Street.
