Mass Street Deli performs best in a category not listed... consistency! The food is always tasty, plentiful and reasonably priced. The service is likewise couteous and consistent! Plus this is a lovely place to eat as well.

I have been to Mass Street Deli twice and both times I have been amazed at the lack of service. My server was more concerned about getting off at 9 than she was about serving her guests. The grilled chicken salad was ice cold, there were hairs in the french fries, and the burgers were obviously reheated but not long enough. I usually hear awesome reviews about this place but let's just say next time your on Mass street visit a different restaurant and receive awesome service and awesome food, like Freestate Brewery.

Sure, MSD might not have the best food in Lawrence, but they do have good sandwiches - as expected from a deli. My recommendation: $3.95 burgers and $2 pints of Fat Tire after 5pm on weekdays. You just can't beat a beer and burger for $6 - isn't that the cost of a "value" meal at McDonald's these days? Mass Street Deli is a great place to go with a few friends, enjoy some pretty good food, and enjoy a sunny afternoon/evening.

They have the best greek salads around, more olives than most people can eat. That alone will keep me going there.

Absolutely the worst service in town, and consistently so! The food is good, but seriously, two hours between your order and being served... for a burger?! Spend you time wisely, go somewhere else!

I suspect I got food poisoning here, and I've heard similar stories. Overpriced and slow service. And the commercials are c-r-e-e-p-y!
