Easily the biggest dump in Lawrence. I dont like that place and shudder the day I am there.

It seems every time I go there, i'm surrounded by a bunch of annoying frat boys pretending to be tough guys, or basketball players who are attention starved.....

I get an eery feeling about this place. I dont recommend it.

I go every weekend and always have a fabulous time and the drink specials are the best in town. I always take my friends from out of town and they leave jealous that they don't have a Brothers at home.

It's Brothers is a poor excuse for a bar. The bar filled with sexist homophobics. One more than one occassion myself and friends of mine have been harrassed, refused service at the bar and even pushed. What kind of bar tolerates this behavior, in fact, what city tolerates this behavior. Lawrence prides itself on being diverse and friendly to all of its citicians. Lawrence prides itself on being a diverse community, so what gives It's Brothers the right, why aren't they condoning this behavior? Any person who hates gay people really needs to reevaluated there own sexuality, there own insecurities, there own masculinity. If you are so threatened by some gay man or lesbian woman, then you're issues go way deeper. We have rights like anyone else, and since It's Brothers is the only place in this town to dance, we will come again and again. We aren't afraid of who we are.

As for the managers/owners of It's Brothers. I am disappointed that you allow this to happen in your bar. But I can only assume that you share the viewpoint of the majority of your male patrons.

So I can't spell and my grammer sucks, here is my edited version . . .

Damn the rage . . .

What does "It's Brother's" Really mean? Is this an attempt to sound like a cosey little pub where all are welcome? In fact the opposite is true. ALL are NOT welcome. Lawrence has a reputation for being a loving and accepting community.

This bar gives Lawrence a bad name with it's homophobic staff and patronage. You should be ashamed of yourself for acting as if "you" are somehow higher and mightier than everyone else.

Refusal of service, because someone is gay, should be completely shunned by the entire community. What's next? Gay's get a separate bathroom to use?

I challenge the management of It's Brother's to stand up for what's right. It's one thing to be harassed by the masses, but when the harassment comes from within a community in which we all work, live, and love, that's when something has to be said.

Congratulations, It's Brother's, you are no longer a bar. You are officially a bigoted private club. Keep on alienating your patrons. Soon you will be nothing.
