You can learn a lot about a place in 15 minutes, and learn I did. Last Call, a once tolerable club, has now become the designated gangsta's paradise. This place wasn't just bad. Bad, I can handle. Bad is slow service or music that I don't particulary like. This place was scary.
Too drunk to realize where I was stepping into, I immediately sobered up upon being patted down for weapons by one of the employees. After paying a ridiculously high cover, I figured I try to stick it out and ordered a drink. The music, of course, was rap, and the crowd consisted of gangbangers and women who were trying to copy the dress code seen in the latest 50 Cent video.
Not even a third of the way into my drink, a fight broke out. I saw this as my cue to leave.
Fraternities might want to consider sending their pledges to Last Call as part of their hazing. This place inspires a sort of toturous paranoia that I doubt they'd soon forget.
