I love buffalo wings... I have eaten them in a house... and with a mouse.. on a train; and in a plane... yada yada. Theirs are quite tasty, however the service was the weak link. On one occasion while seated at the bar, I believe that the bartender must have assumed I was someone who had already eaten? I waited 25 minutes before I was noticed (after I got up from my seat walked to where he was talking to another guest and asked for a menu and a beer). Additionally I was CHARGED for a small container of Bleu cheese for the wings (totally uncool). There are better places with better wings in Lawrence!

Try the Pool Room for good wings, and they charge for blue cheese(not to mention how awesome the blue cheese is). I'll take my burger from there too, much bigger AND cheaper!

I don't know about all you other Jefferson's fans but I think that the food is great and by far the friendliest service in town. Try the crawfish, or the fried pickles with ranch dressing. These two items will keep you coming back.

every time i try to go there, no matter what time, it's always so packed and so LOUD. i think they need to expand. the last time i was there, it was hard to enjoy the food with patrons and staff squeezing by the entire time. but the food is excellent.

If you like Hooters, you'll like Jeffersons. The food is greasy, fried and deep fried. The atmosphere is filled with girlie waitresses, sports and dollar bills. I think I'd rather go to McDonalds, but that's just me.

If there is a better burger in Lawrence, I have yet to find it.

Had such a great time at this place, great atmosphere, and service, very friendly crowd. Who's the young lady rockin' those pigtails behind the bar? Who's cares, buy her a drink, she's sexy.

The food is like eating cardboard. Anyone who likes this place is because they like how cheap it is. Some think that getting a full stomach for $4.00 equals a good meal. That is why places like Subway and Applebee's do so well. This place does not serve food but FILLER.
There is a new place called Hayes Hamburgers opening at Kasold and 15th. Hopefully they will have a good burger because Lawrence currently has none.

Good food, only thing that makes it better than good is the service and beauty serving you. Some say best burger in town, not true, I'd say 3rd best in town but still good food.

Good place to grab snacks...I wouldn't recommend for actual dinner. Jefferson's is great for having a beer and watching a game...like Buffalo Wild Wings, this place is almost tradition among the KU faithful. They don't have the seating capacity as many of the other sports bars in town...but they have a nice friendly environment.

The dollar bill tradition is borrow out from the irish bars.

Of the few places that server oysters...this is the only place in town where I trust to actually eat oysters! They have awesome finger food, and the beer is always fresh.

As a teacher, I have traveled around the states and let me tell you, Jeffreson's wings are the best anywhere. Better than anyone else in town for sure. Burgers are big and juicy and they don't scrimp on the sides. Staff is friendly and responsive. Neat decor with all the dollars. I had the opportunity to watch a KU basketball game there in Feb and it was awesome. I will be back for sure. A+++

I love this place. The Jefferson's chicken sandwich is the best. In fact, I crave it. Yum! Only drawback to this place is that it is a little cramped.

GREAT food. Only place in town to get a lot of what they serve. Recommend the monterey stuffed shrimp, crab legs, oysters, crawfish, catfish poboy. A little pricy considering how many things you have to order to make a meal, but worth it.

Fried Pickles, Chicken Fingers, Hot Wings they are all very good. They actually make good salads as well.

The food is pretty good, but if you go for lunch, don't be in a hurry because the service is terrible. The waitresses are more interested in chatting at the bar than waiting tables. The specials are usually pretty good.

Jeffersons is another of the local must eats. Family and friends request to eat out there when there in town, mainly for the wings. With burger and wing specials on different days of the week Jeffersons is always crowded. Game days and weekends Jeffersons is overflowing so dont get mad at the wait or the line out the door, you have been warned. Thier seating is limited to about 20 tables, a mix of booths, small tables, and large 6-8 person high tables. Service can lack a bit at times, but is usually really good. Jeffersons has been a favorite of almost everyone who eats there since they opened about 7 years ago.

Jefferson's wings are the best in town. Especially on $.35 wing nights.
