Synopsis: A dazzling fantasy, this dark fairy tale about suicide and broken hearts - a labor of love from director Tarsem ("The Cell") - is set in the early 20th century, and takes flight from an L.A. hospital ward to literally circumnavigate the globe. A celebration of cinema, of old-fashioned storytelling and spectacle, it stirs the soul.

Blindness
Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo headline the tough new movie from the director who brought you "City of God" and "The Constant Gardener." When a city is besieged by an unexplained epidemic of blindness, it reacts by slamming the door shut on everyone who gets it. Moore is in similar territory as last year's "Children of Men," but "Blindness" never quite connects as emotionally. Showtimes, review and more. Watch trailer.
