Kansas City, Mo. -- The Lyric Opera of Kansas City is holding auditions for a child to portray Trouble, Bufferfly's child, in its performance of "Madama Butterfly."
Children between the ages of 3 1/2 and 6 will be screened for size, ability to follow instructions and acting independently. The audition process will include observing the children during story time, face painting and game activities.
Auditions will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 10 at Washington Park, north of Crown Center between Main and Grand. Children must arrive no later than 11:30 a.m.
The chosen child will attend rehearsals beginning Sept. 16 and be at performances on Sept. 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24.
