Kansas Woodwinds to appear at KU

The Kansas Woodwinds will perform four chamber music pieces during a free recital at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Swarthout Recital Hall in Murphy Hall at Kansas University.

The program, performed without intermission, includes "Movements, Op. 16" by Robert Muczynski; "Quintet in E-flat Major, Op. 67 No. 3" by Franz Danzi; "Recitative and Scherzo" by Donald Draganski; and "Sinfonia da Camera" by Pierre Max Dubois.

The group is composed of the woodwind area faculty at KU. Some members of the Kansas Woodwinds have performed together for 30 years, while others have joined the ongoing chamber music ensemble in the past two to three years.

The Kansas Woodwinds are Vince Gnojek, saxophone; John Boulton, flute; Margaret Marco, oboe; Larry Maxey, clarinet; Alan Hawkins, bassoon; and Paul Stevens, horn.
