The view from the tower at Wells Overlook south of Lawrence provides a vista of the Wakarusa River valley.
Wells Overlook Park is south of Lawrence off of U.S. Highway 59, then east on County Road 458. The entrance to the park is about a mile east of U.S. 59 on the south side of the road. The park is open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
From the top of the wooden observation tower you can see for many miles in all directions. The park features a paved road and parking lot, some trails and picnic tables.
Use your mouse to rotate the Quick Time VR movie either left or right, and up and down if you also use the zooming feature.
