There she is in Philadelphia
Miss America 2002 Katie Harman has a Thanksgiving Day date, after all.
Harman, who was left out of plans for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York, will take part in the 6ABC/Boscov's Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia, organizers said.
The 21-year-old from Gresham, Ore., will sing "America the Beautiful" during the broadcast, said Dave Davis, president of WPVI-TV in Philadelphia.
Harman said she was disappointed last week after Macy's officials said they had invited Miss Universe Denise Quinones to participate in their parade instead of her.
Traditionally, Miss America winners have ridden in the New York parade.
Actor muscles up on stage
John Leguizamo is back in his one-man Broadway show, "Sexaholix ... a love story," after tearing a hamstring muscle, but opening night has been postponed until Dec. 2 to give the star time to recover fully.
The show, currently in previews, was scheduled to open Sunday, said production spokesman Bill Evans. Leguizamo was injured during a pre-show warm-up on Oct. 25, resulting in the cancellation of that evening's performance. He returned to the production the next night.
"Sexaholix" has extended its run at the Royale Theatre through Jan. 6.
J. Lo in the dough
Jennifer Lopez reportedly will receive $12 million to co-star with Ben Affleck in the upcoming movie "Gigli."
The singer-actress also will get a high single-digit percentage of the back-end profits, Variety reported Tuesday.
Lopez, 31, already was the highest-paid Hispanic woman in film history by receiving $9 million for the romantic comedy "The Wedding Planner," which came out in January and co-starred Matthew McConaughey.
In "Gigli," she'll play a gunslinger sent to supervise a hit man (Affleck), with whom she falls in love.
Lopez replaces Halle Berry, who backed out because of scheduling conflicts with the shooting of "X-Men 2."
"Gigli" is scheduled to begin production next month and open in November 2002.
Oops she's postponed again
Britney Spears has done it again she's pushed back the start date of her concert tour.
Instead of kicking off tonight in Washington, the tour now will begin Thursday in Columbus, Ohio. A statement on Monday from Jive Records, Spears' label, blamed the delay on production delays.
The 19-year-old singer initially planned to start her tour Friday in Miami, but delayed that opening because she had the flu.
Spears' Washington concert now is scheduled for Dec. 21.
