Kate Moss injured in wreck
Kate Moss suffered minor injuries when the car in which she was riding hit another vehicle and plunged down a slope, her modeling agency said Thursday.
The accident occurred Thursday on a road east of London as Moss was being driven to a fashion shoot, Storm Models said. Her Range Rover hit another car and slid down a steep incline.
Moss was flown to Basildon Hospital by air ambulance. She was treated for a shoulder injury and discharged.
Her driver and the two occupants of the other car all were injured and taken by ambulance to Basildon Hospital. One of the men had to be cut from the wreckage, Essex Fire Service said, but none of the injuries was considered life-threatening.
Spielberg puts family first
Steven Spielberg's absence was a major disappointment for the Venice Film Festival. But Spielberg says he has a good excuse.
The festival conflicted with his 13-year-old son's bar mitzvah, Spielberg said in a taped interview shown before Tuesday's screening of his new film, "A.I. Artificial Intelligence."
Spielberg also talked about how Stanley Kubrick asked him to direct the tale of a robot boy adopted by human parents.
The 54-year-old director said he considers Kubrick, who died in 1999, one of his mentors and hopes that "A.I." would have pleased him.
It's a girl for Cindy Crawford
Cindy Crawford has given birth to a baby girl, the second child for her and husband Rande Gerber.
Kaia Jordan Gerber was born Monday in Los Angeles, publicist Annett Wolf said Wednesday. The baby weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces.
Crawford, 35, and Gerber were married in May 1998 and have a son, Presley Walker Gerber, who was born in July 1999.
Anne Heche expecting
Add expectant mother to the roles taken on by Anne Heche.
Heche, who married cameraman Coleman Laffoon on Saturday in a ceremony in Los Angeles, is three months pregnant, publicist Brad Cafarelli said Thursday.
The 32-year-old actress and Laffoon had dated for a year. They met while working on a documentary about her ex-girlfriend, Ellen DeGeneres.
During Heche's interview with Barbara Walters on ABC's "20/20" Wednesday night, Walters revealed that Heche is pregnant.
During her interview with Walters, Heche said she was sexually abused by her father as a child, which caused her years of psychological problems. She also said she had a split personality, thought she could talk to God, and acknowledged taking drugs.
