The Prairie Wind Dancers will present a First Step House concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 N.H.
The concert is in celebration of the women and children of First Step House. "Stories of Addiction" has been created as a result of the company's residency at First Step House and addresses issues related to addiction.
In addition, works from the company's recent concert will be showcased. Candi Baker, artistic director of the Prairie Wind Dancers, has dancers romping through space with 12-foot scarves during the work "Catching Wind." "Untitled," choreographed by Susan Warden, is an intense piece that redesigns the dancers' boundaries and relationships.
Among the other works presented are "Sophisticated Ladies," "Dreamwalking" and "Suite Love."
The concert is free and open to the public.
