Actor Jamie Foxx arrested

Comedy stars charged in separate incidents

— Comedian Jamie Foxx and his sister were arrested early Saturday after allegedly refusing to leave a casino and then fighting with police officers called to escort them out, authorities said.

Foxx, 35, and Deidra Dixon, 25, refused to show identification when they entered Harrah's Casino about 4 a.m., then argued with security guards who ordered them to leave, said police Capt. Marlon Defillo.

Dixon struck one officer in the face, Defillo said. He said the officers used pepper spray and handcuffed them.

Foxx, booked with trespassing, battery on officers and resisting arrest, was released on $1,900 bond.

Foxx was in New Orleans for filming of the movie "Unchain My Heart."

Foxx, who lives in Hollywood, created and starred in "The Jamie Foxx Show."
