Music: Folk singer to present witty show at Union
A folk singer and songwriter described as "Conan O'Brien meets James Taylor" on Monday will bring his witty, comedic show to the Kansas Union.
Andrew Kerr, who got his start in stand-up comedy, sells out leading folk showcases in the Northeast. He has won the Northern California Songwriters Assn. Best Performer award five times.
His latest CD, "Rock Star," displays a folk-rock-comedy blend as well as hip-hop influences.
Kerr will play at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Hawk's Nest in the Kansas Union. Tickets are $5 for the public. Students get in free.
