The Spencer Museum of Art docents will lead informal talks this summer that introduce the public more intimately to the permanent collection.
"Conversations in Art" are scheduled on four Thursday evenings during the summer, beginning this week. Each talk begins at 7 p.m. in the museum's Central Court. The museum galleries are open until 9 p.m. every Thursday.
Here's a look at the summer schedule:
- Thursday, "Portraits in the Spencer Museum's Collections," with Bill Hambleton.
- July 10, "How to Look at Modern and Post-Modern Art," with Betsy Weaver.
- Aug. 7, "Museum Highlights and Mrs. Spencer's Collection," with Alice Ann Johnston.
- Aug. 14, "Art in the Spencer Museum's Central Court," with Dean Dixon.
