Both Sony and Microsoft have announced that their systems will drop in price by twenty dollars effective immediately. Microsoft did a clean cut whereas Sony is trying to move the "old model" PS2's off the shelf to make room for the "new" PS2 models that will have broadband capability out of the box, retailing for the $199.99 price point.
Nintendo has yet to fulfill our rumor report, which leads us to believe they might be comfortable with their $149.99 retail price.
More as it breaks.
