Pujols gets MVP award...from Electronic Arts

St. Louis Cardinals All-Star to Grace Cover of MVP Baseball 2004

Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS) announced today its choice for baseball's MVP, tapping St. Louis Cardinals All-Star Albert Pujols as cover athlete and spokesman for MVP Baseball(tm) 2004. The game is scheduled for release on multiple platforms next spring under the EA SPORTS(tm) brand.

"Gracing the cover of MVP Baseball 2004 and becoming a part of the EA SPORTS family is a big moment in my career," said Albert Pujols, who last month was voted player of the year by his peers in balloting conducted by the Major League Baseball Players' Association. "It's a thrill for me to be a part of a game that offers fans the authentic look and feel of stepping up to the plate and standing in the batter's box.
There is science to hitting that is hard to recreate, but that's exactly what EA SPORTS has done in MVP Baseball 2004."

We'll have more soon.
