While baby-sitting the new neighbors children for the first time, Katie answered the phone. All she heard was someone saying in a raspy cold voice, "Look outside." Katie hung up right away. The phone rang again. This time being too scared she didn't answer it. But the phone didn't stop ringing. Hesitantly Katie answered the phone. On the other end of the line all she heard was cold icy breathing. It was almost like she could feel it down her neck. She screamed and hung up the phone. Katie felt someone tap her on the back. She flung around and saw Billy standing there with his eyes big as saucers. Relieved that it was only him she asked him what was wrong. He said there was someone at the front door. Panicking, Katie told him to go back to bed. She looked outside and saw someone she didn't know standing there. Katie opened the door and the man fell flat on his face with a knife sticking out of his back. She screamed at the top of her lungs and Billy came out of his room to see what was going on. He started to tug on Katie's shirt and say, "Katie. Katie. Katie!" Katie opened her eyes and saw her mom standing next to her bed. It was Friday morning and it was time for school. Tonight she would be baby-sitting Billy and she hopes the phone doesn't ring.
