Occupation and/or major: sociology/peace and conflict resolution studies
Style Scout: Molly Berthold
Time in Lawrence: 11 years
Where are you headed right now? Mirth
Favorite clothing store? Sunflower Outdoor & Bike Shop
Other stores you frequent? Casbah, for jewelry
How would you describe your style? Comfortable and varying. It's always different. Today I wore a dress because it was beautiful outside. No heels. I dress for the outdoors.
Favorite thing for this season? A lot of accessories.
Least favorite trend right now? Everyone has this one North Face fleece, long-sleeved with little patches. You walk around campus and see the same thing in different colors. It's repetitive.
Where do you get your haircut? Susie at Babette.
Favorite coffee shop in Lawrence? I frequent La Prima Tazza the most.
Favorite bar shop or bar in Lawrence? Vermont Street, if my friends are playing.
Is there anything you'd like to see more of in Lawrence? More live music venues. We have a lot, but even more would be better.
Occupation and/or major: sheet-metal worker
Style Scout: Nick Raulsten
Time in Lawrence: whole life
Where are you headed right now? Slow Ride Roadhouse
Favorite clothing store? If I'm coming here, Harley-Davidson. But if I'm going out to meet girls, The Buckle, Urban Outfitters, American Eagle.
Other stores you frequent? Dillons. And lots of restaurants and drinking establishments.
How would you describe your style? I'm a loner. I like to ride my bike alone, sit at home and watch old movies alone. (Note: Touched by response, reporter did not clarify "style" as a clothing reference.)
Favorite thing for this season? It seems like clothing repeats itself every 20 years. I like the '70s-style clothes and long hair that people are wearing.
Least favorite trend right now? People dressing up too much. Like wearing suits when you don't have to.
Where do you get your haircut? My mom cuts it. Just kidding. Downtown Barber.
Favorite coffee shop in Lawrence? Milton's.
Favorite bar shop or bar in Lawrence? Slow Ride.
Is there anything you'd like to see more of in Lawrence? More individuals. Instead of all college. All old. All tree huggers.
