Save & Splurge

Amy Brady, grad student/teacher, reader, drinker

How do you save money?

"Since I'm in grad school and I make less money than the actual poverty line, sometimes it's just two meals a day. That helps. Usually I cut lunch-it's not that long of a stretch from breakfast to supper if you wake up at 11. I also cut the coupons. I have a magnet for each one on the refrigerator. I use the Google to find my coupons-coupons for beauty products, batteries, and various canned goods. Other than that, when you make little there's not much to save."

What do you splurge on?

"Number one would probably be lunch. Something other than food out of a can is nice. Taco John's is an extravagance."
