The Associated Press is claiming they own the copyright to the iconic Shepard Fairey image of President Obama and is asking for compensation. Fairey has acknowledged his painting is based off of an AP photo he found on Google, but has claimed he didn't receive any money from the distribution of the painting.*...Claiming that his face is copyright protected, Associated Press lawyers wrestled President Obama to the ground and branded "AP" on his forehead with a hot iron.
