Favorite trends: I like bow-ties, expertly parted hair, the style from "Mad Men," Kanye West’s style, and everything that African-American men wear.

Least favorite trends: Gladiator sandals. I also think it would be nice if people were cleaner, not as smelly, and wore button-up shirts once in awhile.

Favorite Lawrence summer activities: Surfing the Internet, preferably in an extremely cold place with a hot coffee in hand.

What would you like to see more of in Lawrence: I’d like to see more nerd stores, and more transients ... but I say that sarcastically.

What would you like to see less of: Rootsy rock-and-roll music and country-sounding bands, and good times and great oldies.

What are your guilty pleasures: Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, and my Xbox. Currently I’m playing Call of Duty.

Who are your fashion influences: Bookish/nebbish looking guys, robots, Farnsworth Bentley, and Andre 3000.

People say I look like: Sloth from “The Goonies.” A long time ago, some lady said I look like JFK Jr.

Tell us a secret: For my 31st birthday, I’m going to play in a Magic: The Gathering tournament in Kansas City.

Shoes: Sperry Topsiders, purchased for $34 from the Gilt Groupe, 2 months ago.

Jeans: Lee. They were free because my wife works for them, and I’ve had them for a few months.

Shirt: Ben Sherman, purchased for $20 on super sale at Urban Outfitters, 1 year ago.

Watch: Nixon. It was a $200 birthday present to myself about 2 years ago.

Sunglasses: Ray Ban, an early birthday present from my wife given to me about 2 days ago.
