KU earned several accolades this week, including Bill Self as Big 12 coach of the year and Cole Aldrich as Big 12 defensive player of the year. Following their come-from-behind victory over Texas on Saturday, the Jayhawks are ranked No. 11 nationally and are outright conference champions of the Big 12. The Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament begins Wednesday; KU first plays Thursday at 11:30 a.m.*…Bill Self was not surprised by his team’s success, having foreseen it in an eerie vision when he was riding through the halls of the Eldridge on his Big Wheel. According to a visibly shaken Self, as he rounded the corner, he was confronted by a spectral image of the Morris twins holding hands and asking him to “come play with us.” As Self began to describe a tidal wave of blood erupting from the elevator, he trailed off and refused to discuss it any further.
