Lawrence city commissioners will be asked at this week's meeting to establish a campground for up to 50 homeless people in either Burcham Park or a wooded area along the Kansas River in East Lawrence. The campground is advocated by the Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center but is opposed by city staff members.
