The Land of the Rising Sun is gonzo cuckoo bananas, and I love it. Japan's major exports are apparently electronics, automobiles, and crazy. Maybe it's because they're an island that spent centuries isolated from the rest of humanity, or maybe it's because we irradiated the whole country, but that place is a bento box of nut bars. Here's an ad for a video game on the Wii called "Muscle March." The gameplay consists of buff guys in bikinis running through holes. And there's a polar bear for some reason.

Okay, this is kind of cheating since it's an ad that's only made to look like it was meant for Japanese television. It's for a Coke product called Oasis, but that doesn't make it any less spectacular.

And finally, that paragon of weird, the Japanese game show. It's actually kind of challenging to find a clip from a Japanese game show that isn't completely perverted or depraved, but here's one where guys tie rubber bands around their heads and eat marshmallows.
