This is a sampling of the great online series, Breakfast at Sulimay's. The premise is simple—three crotchety geriatrics from Philly review modern music. I don't know what this says about me, but I tend to agree with every verdict they hand down. It's like Pitchfork with a plastic hip. Damn whipper punkers and their bleepity blopity jazzbo noise! On top of their impeccable taste, there's a perspective in their analysis that you just won't find in Spin.
On the Doves: "It's not Rascal Flatts, but it's pretty good."
On Eminem: "He reminds me of Gilbert and Sullivan."
On Bat for Lashes: "It felt like a massage."
Here now are Anne, Bill, and Joe from "Breakfast at Sulimay's."
