Occupation: Mom and Associate Publisher of Linux Pro Magazine
What Were you doing when scouted? Working downtown.
How would you describe your style? Somewhat retro and mostly age-inappropriate.
Favorite fashion trends? I lean toward classics — cotton tshirts, Levi's, Converse, Western snap-shirts, or '50s-style dresses and skirts. And I always love a good leopard print and rhinestones.
Least favorite fashion trends? I hate seeing people's boxers or thongs hanging out, tiny dogs carried as accessories, skimpy clothing, and stiletto heels in the middle of the day on Mass. street.
Tattoos? A tattoo of my 2 cats and cherry blossoms from Dave Lum in Austin in 1991. A couple of Big Daddy tattoos — my "Mom" tattoo and flowers on my leg. My most recent one was done by Scott at Mercy Seat last year — it's a lucky horseshoe, and it seems to be working.
What are your favorite Lawrence summer activities? Grilling out, going to the Farmer's Market or the pool, events downtown, riding bikes with my girl gang, drinking on the Free State patio, and Sunday afternoon shows at the Replay.
What would you like to see more of in Lawrence? Talented buskers who never play 'Knocking on Heaven's Door'.
What would you like to see less of in Lawrence? Buskers who ever play 'Knocking on Heaven's Door' or just shake one maraca.
Who are your fashion influences? Exene Cervenka from X and Mary Huff from Southern Culture on the Skids.
