Flash Forward (ABC)
"I've only had DVR for a couple months, but the first show I have to watch is 'Flash Forward.' Basically, everyone in the world has a vision of their life about 6 months in the future and the show focuses on a variety of people dealing with what they saw and a group of FBI agents trying to figure out who or what caused it. You have to keep watching because either everything everyone is doing is fulfilling the visions or something pretty dramatic will happen to change the future. Each character's perspective on the visions are pretty unique depending on what they saw and whether or not they want it to happen."
House (FOX)
"What can you say about House? He's grumpy and witty and hilarious. The cases he and his team work on are fascinating, but the relationships Dr. House has with everyone he works with is really what makes this show tick. Every episode you have to wonder, "What is wrong with him?" Plus, there are always really awesome, and unexpected, pop culture references."
Six Feet Under (HBO)
"I watched this whole show last year on DVD with a friend who had the first couple discs of Season 1. It's about this family who owns a funeral home. At least one person dies in every episode and somehow that death or what the main characters draw from a particular death really sets an interesting emotional tone. The characters are sometimes awful, but you love them anyway. I watched the first season out of a morbid curiosity but eventually realized I had to keep watching to find out what was going to happen with these people. Plus, the series finale is outstanding. "
