How would you describe your style: Quick and easy. I love vintage button-ups and jeans or long-sleeved t-shirts with a set of beautiful vintage beads.

Who are your fashion influences: My girls are my biggest fashion influences right now. They always wear what they love and don't worry about the latest trends or what people think. I strive to be that confident. They also put textures, patterns and colors together that I would never guess could look so fabulous.

What are your favorite fashion trends: I am out of the loop, but I love anything really feminine like accent ruffles, lace or big beautiful necklaces.

What are your least favorite fashion trends: I saw pleated-front pants and boyfriend jeans tight-rolled in the JCrew catalog yesterday. I know this will make me sound old and out of style, but do we really want to bring back pleats and tight rolls?

What would you like to see more of in Lawrence: I would like to see and feel braille everywhere I go. I would also like to hear every stoplight tell me when to cross. My son was born blind, and I want his journey through Lawrence to be as easy as possible.

What would you like to see less of in Lawrence: I would like to see less winter and a whole lot more summer.

People say I look like: My dad.

Tell us a secret: Sometimes in the middle of the night when I am up with one or all of my kids, I dream of a night at the Eldridge by myself. It would be amazing to get to sleep all night long with no interruptions, wake up and take a run on the levee and then have coffee and a bowl of granola at that swanky new restaurant 715. In the end, I wouldn't sleep because of worry and I would miss the kids like crazy, but a girl can dream.

Do you enjoy buying clothes for your kids? I love shopping with the girls. It is usually a rather hilarious adventure full of mirror faces and dancing. I have learned not to buy things without them because the clothes will just sit in the closet. Maddox gets so many wonderful hand-me-downs that I rarely have to buy him anything.

Do you pick out your kids' outfits or do they? The girls always pick out their own outfits. Sometimes I try to make suggestions, but they are rarely taken. I love dressing Maddox because, at least for the time being, he will wear anything I put on him.
