If you watched the Grammys last night, you probably wish you didn’t watch the Grammys. It was a vacuous celebration of famous people where millionaires get trophies. That said, don’t get me wrong—I love a good vacuous celebration of famous people where millionaires get trophies. I break out my ball gown and barf dip every year for the Oscars. A vacuous celebration of famous people where millionaires get trophies can be a crap load of fun. But the Grammys suck. On the scale of meaningless award shows, only the People’s Choice Awards ranks lower.
The only real highlights were Lady Gaga’s duet with Elton John (which one was the flamboyant piano playing gay icon and which one was Elton John? Gaydars around the country exploded from overload) and the Michael Jackson tribute.
We can’t repost either of those moments because of stupid, stupid copyright laws. In lieu of the Michael Jackson tribute, here’s something even better. It’s old people dancing to “Billie Jean.” It’s right up there with old people headbanging.
Also, old people dance better than I do. (Via Urlesque)
