Five soloists will perform with Free State High School’s orchestra at a concert Tuesday in the school auditorium.
Soloists are Peter Lesslie, cello; Emily Paulsen, flute; Jenny Loewen, violin; Liesel Reussner, oboe; Adriane Dick, flute; and Dravid Joseph, piano.
Program highlights include two Haydn concertos for piano and cello, a Bach flute suite, Gabiel’s Oboe from “The Mission,” Vivaldi’s violin concerto and Chaminade’s concertino for flute and orchestra. The String Orchestra will also perform the Monti Csardas.
Lynn Basow, orchestra director, is pleased to present these outstanding soloists in concert.
The Free State Chamber Choir, directed by Hilary Morton, will be guests at the concert, performing music to be presented at the Kansas Music Educators Association Conference in Wichita.
The free concert begins at 7 p.m. A reception will follow.
