Free State High School concert to raise funds for trip

Free State High School’s ninth-grade orchestra will present a winter concert at 7 p.m. Thursday at the school, 4700 Overland Drive.

The concert, along with an accompanying silent auction, will help the orchestra raise money to travel to Chicago to take part in a clinic with a Northwestern University professor, perform at the Field Museum of Natural History and attend professional concerts, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. The trip is planned for March 13-17.

Tickets to the winter concert and auction at Free State High are $5 each and can be purchased at the school office.
