Percolator dispatching art, merriment across town to new shelter

The Percolator is sending a delegation of artists, entertainers, merriment and foolishness across town to the new Lawrence Community Shelter this weekend.

The Percolator Arts Caravan will be at the shelter, 3701 Franklin Park Circle, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Area residents of all ages will be able to participate in free art activities and workshops, as well as see the new shelter.

The following activities are planned: paper flower making with Irene Tsuneta at 11 a.m., magic with Sora Korso at noon, bucket drumming workshop at 1 p.m. and a juggling workshop at 2 p.m.
