Today in Lawrence: Skating and fine art to round out your holiday week

Have you put your blades on the ice in Lawrence yet? If you haven't tried it, take the family to the ice skating rink next to the Lawrence Public Library. The cost is $3 and that includes skate rental (don't bring your own skates — the ice is synthetic and skate blades must be super sharp). The rink is open from 1 to 8 p.m. today, on the plaza next to the library, 707 Vermont St.
